Here we are over halfway through National Crochet Month and y'all have been so FAB to celebrate with so far! We've had great prizes, behind the scenes looks at our designs with our Inside the Designz blog posts, and our new Tuesday Tips feature over on our Instagram page (which we'll be continuing past National Crochet Month… WOOHOO!!). And we're not slowing down now!

UPDATE - Week 3 Giveaway Winner Announced

Congratulations to Debbie D.  She's won the National Crochet Month Week 3 Giveaway. Debbie left a comment on Instagram that was randomly selected. We've emailed her and she has 48 hours to reply before we have to choose another winner.

Thank you to all who entered this week's giveaway. Keep crocheting!
Remember to enter BOTH the Week 4 Giveaway and the Grand Prize Giveaway if you have not already done so.
This week, our giveaway features a prize pack from two of our sponsors who we work with in the studio and in our classrooms when we travel and teach: Lion Brand Yarn and Eucalan. A perfect match… right? Heck yeah! Y'all know we love using Lion Brand Yarn in our designs and in our classes because they have such a wide range of accessible and high-quality yarns. And Eucalan is how we block our swatches, wash our finished fabrics, and block our finished designs. This week the folks at Lion Brand Yarns and Eucalan have generously donated some of our FAVORITE products as well as a few new ones for you all. Let's take a look…

From Lion Brand Yarns is a prize pack of three of our favorite yarns: Mandala, Mulberry Silk, and Merino Yak Alpaca. And the winner will receive THREE EACH of these three yarns… that's enough to make some FAB crochet for yourself. Now, if you haven't seen these three yarns, you are in for a treat.

First, Mandala is that yarn you've seen everyone on Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram talking about. This yarn has looooooong color changes. We're talking the kind of color changes crocheters have been asking for for years. This one is a game changer and, at 590 yards per 150 gram cake of yarn, 1 cake makes a scarf, 2 makes a BIG scarf or wrap, and 4 or 5 makes a nice throw. The colors are amazing and you'll love how quickly you can work magic with this worsted weight yarn.
Next, is three balls of Lion Brand Yarn's LB Collection Mulberry Silk. This is a 100% silk yarn made from the highest quality silk available. Mulberry silk is prized among crocheters because the yarn produces luxurious fabrics for everything from scarves, cowls, and wraps and those special garments. We love working with this yarn and can't wait for y'all go get your hooks into it.

Finally, we have Lion Brand Yarn's LB Collection Merino Yak Alpaca yarn. This is another luxury yarn that we love working with. Containing a blend of 75% Merino, 15% Yak, and 15% Alpaca, this medium weight yarn is perfect for garments and accessories that you'll love making as much as you love wearing. And, again, with three, 50 gram balls at 126 yards each, you'll definitely be able to make something special for yourself.
From the folks at Eucalan is a pair of two Getaway Gang sets. These are the travel packs from Eucalan that we take everywhere with us. If you remember our takeover of the Eucalan Instagram account, you saw exactly how we use these travel size packs of Eucalan wash right in our hotel room to wash out clothes so we don't have to pack as much or go to the hotel laundry service.
Picture
The Getaway Gang packs include travel sizes of the five Eucalan scents including our favorites: grapefruit and lavender along with natural and eucalyptus (two more we use quite a bit) and jasmine. In addition, there is a little sewing kit and a nail file… very handy to have when traveling and a must have product: Eucalan wipes. These wipes have saved our clothes and even one of Shannon's favorite jackets on our trips. We've used them to remove tomato sauce, coffee, and the results of an exploding creamer packet on an airplane. Seriously… these have saved us enough times that we keep extras in our bags when we travel. Oh yeah… these aren't just great to have in our travel cases. We keep these in our project bags too… life happens… and being able to spot a coffee dribble from a project or do a quick wash out of a larger coffee mishap has also come in handy for us. So, yeah, we love these little kits and are happy to pass along two of them to you: one for travel, one for your project bag!

I crochet in doctors offices/waiting rooms, emergency (hospital), in the truck while hubby drives and have even crocheted in a lineup at the store! Lol. Also, at the park, on the beach, on the bus helping out on my kids class trips, and on the plane trip to see my mom and gran last summer:0)

Me, I'm a knitting Girl, and my knitting goes everywhere with me... I love knitting socks since they are so compact, they fit in any purse! Knitting in public is the most fun!!!

I take my crochet everywhere, anywhere as long as it is allowed. I also meet with a group at a coffee place and they already expect us.

I keep small crochet projects to work on during any down time that I may have such as in my car, at the doctors office, at work...don't tell my boss! Lol!

Where? Every where and any where. In the car - when I am not driving. During lunch break. I have a regular meet-up on Saturday mornings that alternate between Dollop Cafe, Manny's Deli and the Currency Exchange cafe. In bed, before dozing off.

I crochet everywhere, whenever I get a chance. I usually have a couple of different projects going at a time, and I try to match the complexity of the project to the stress level of the waiting time.

I take small projects with me wherever I go and save the big projects for home where I have more room to work.
