Time To Announce What's In The Week 3 Giveaway
UPDATE: This giveaway has ended. Sign up for our newsletter so you don't miss our next big event! NEWSLETTER SIGN UP

Thank you all for making Weeks 1 and 2 of National Craft Month our biggest and best yet. We've emailed the winners of both weeks and are waiting to hear back from them. If they do not contact us within 48 hours we will choose another lucky entrant… so make sure you are checking those inboxes!

In the meantime, lets talk about what's happening for our Week 3 Giveaway for National Craft Month. This is a fun week! Because it truly embraces the idea of the Renaissance Crafter: the crafter who doesn't want to be locked in to just one craft. They are proficient in at least three crafts and love exploring new possibilities for making ALL THE THINGS!

This week we will be traveling to Hartford, CT to experience STITCHES United. This is the kind of event that we as Renaissance Crafters just adore. There will be booths showcasing FAB yarn to use with amazing new hooks and needles right alongside vendors from the sewing and quilting worlds. We'll be teaching our classes on crochet techniques, fashion design, photography, and drop spinning with a machine quilting class to the left of us, and a hand embroidery class to the right... All the great crafts are represented at STITCHES United.  Thinking about that, we realized that we want you too, to be all-around crafters. To that end, this week's giveaway is what we are referring to as "All The Crafts" week, because that is what we want to support! Not just knitting, not just crochet, not just weaving... but a little of everything.

To get you started in multi-media crafting we've included some FAB entry level items from our favorite sponsors that will help you branch out into new crafting venues!

First off is a great way to make some cool cording from yarn and string. This is a Lucet. This particular lucet is made my our National Craft Month Sponsor, Stephen Willette.

If you are not familiar with the lucet or the cool cording that it makes, you can go to Stephen's website for a tutorial on this tool (likewise, quick google search will give you a ton of great information). This tool makes square cording that can be used as rope, jewelry, or adornment for sewing, knit, or crochet projects. We love ours and use it often.

Oh... it's also incredibly easy to use!

Also provided by Stephen Willette is one of his handmade drop spindles. We use his spindles in our drop spinning class because they are beautifully made, perfectly weighted, and just plain exquisite to look at.

Even if you've never taken a drop spinning class (you know we teach those right?) this is your entry level tool to a world where you get to make the yarn you want... the way you want it.

You're welcome!

Thought about learning embroidery but did not know where to start? Clover has you covered!

The FAB folks at Clover have provided an embroidery stitching tool and hoop for you to learn on. Think of these tools as the entry to a whole new world of embellishment. Even if you've never used it before, this tool comes with great instructions and you'll be up and running in now time. Then you can embellish ALL THE THINGS!! We might have gotten a little carried away with ours… maybe… maybe not…

To get your creative juices flowing, our friends at Fiber Art Now Magazine have provided an issue of their magazine. Flipping through the pages of Fiber Art Now will show you how far you can take your crafting if you just let yourself go. Our favorite thing about this magazine is the support it gives to the fiber arts community through event listings and inspirational profiles about art shows and makers. They also host the Fiber Arts Network (which we are proud members of!) that is working to support teachers and artists in the fiber arts community.

Eucalan, has once again provided us with a Getaway Gang for you to use to clean your fiber projects. We LOVE Eucalan and use it on everything from our handwash only items to our hand made sweaters and hats.

These Getaway Gang packs go with us on every trip… every trip! The wipes and wash packets have saved more than a few of our favorite pieces of clothing and the sewing kit comes in handy… the nail file is great too… something we forget to pack sometimes.

You never need to rinse! Just soak, wring gently, dry flat, then wear! What's not to love about that?

If you asked us what is Our FAVORITE tool that we carry with us all the time... we'd answer the OttLite Mini-Flip LED. Clear bright light anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

We carry these in our project bags, photography go-bag, and in our studios in the house. From just needing a bit more light at night to see a project to full on pitch black power outages, the OttLiteMini-Flip has saved our bacon more than once!

Seriously… we love this little light and can't wait to get it into your hands.

Last, but  not least, is a Limited Edition Stitchip right from the Shibaguyz themselves.

12 of our original patterns, either in knit or crochet are yours on a credit card sized USB device. Just plug it in to your computer and you are ready to stitch! Because the patterns are enhanced PDF's you can save to your phone or tablet and take it with you wherever you go.

You get to choose either the Limited Edition Knit, or Limited Edition Crochet Collection for your giveaway prize. Go to our stitchip page to see all the patterns and how to use this FAB little device.

Whew!  That's a lot of swag for one giveaway!
We'll be choosing a winner for this week's giveaway next Sunday, March 25, 2018. If you have entered for any other week so far you are already entered for this week. Keep an eye on your email from us that day.
