Abstraction for Art Quilts Streaming Workshop
Join us for a recorded workshop on how to look at a painting, photo, sketch or even the view out your window and turn it into an abstract art piece.
Abstract art is a passion of ours. Painting and sculptures that attempt to represent an depiction of a visual reality but instead uses shape, color, form and texture to achieve its effect are stimulating not only to look at but to create... truly the embodiment of the creative chaos we try to embrace daily.
Fiber is a PERFECT medium for us to use for creating abstract art. Simple shapes and colors can be cut, placed and sewn to create a piece free of form and interpretation.
Join us as we walk through techniques for looking at the world around you and breaking down what you see, or feel, into base components. We'll then build a new structure to represent what you see in your mind. Where will abstraction take you?
This class is suitable for all levels of quilters. First time sewists will follow with ease!
