Beginning Crochet Digital Workshop
Get Hooked on Crochet with Foundational Skills
Crochet, a form of textile art that uses a hooked needle to create intricate patterns and designs, has captivated crafters for generations. In this curated course, specifically designed with beginners in mind, you'll learn the fundamental skills and techniques, allowing you to experience the joy and satisfaction of bringing yarn to life through your hands.
This course begins with the basics of yarn and hooks and moves on to show you ways to hold crochet hooks. Through closeup video instruction, we demonstrate essential crochet stitches, including the chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet. You'll learn easy ways to change yarn color, weave in your ends, and invaluable techniques for flawless finishing. The special technique for making your first stitch in a row clean and straight is worth the course alone!
Included, you will receive two professionally written patterns for home décor and wearable projects. We take you step-by-step through reading the patterns and understanding standard abbreviations to create those projects. By the end of this workshop, you will have completed your first crochet pieces that you can proudly don or gift… if you can bring yourself to give them away.
