Live Workshop December 14, 11:00 AM Pacific Time
Join us Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00am Pacific Time for this recorded live workshop... or purchase now and watch the streaming content with anytime access.
Maker’s Moments 2 features six more projects that don’t require a high level of concentration or a huge commitment of time. Pick one up when you feel the brain clutter building up and start creating without giving too much thought to anything but the movements of your hands. We designed all of these projects to be picked up and put down easily without a significant time commitment and without losing your place if you are called upon to save the universe… again.
These projects will let you jump into a field you've wanted to check out but did not want to
What will we be making?
- Drawstring Gift Bag
- Fabric cards/gift card holder
- Corner Bookmark
- Zokin set
- Crochet Washcloths
- Fabric scarf, or wrap (finished edges on a solid piece of fabric)
Drawstring Gift Bag
A simple bag that is begging to be used for holding a small gift, potpourri, or storing your jewelry.
Fabric Cards/Gift Card Holder
Using a few small scraps of fabric and a piece of card stock you can make a personalized homemade card to attach to a gift, send to a friend, or even insert a gift card as present.
Corner Bookmark
This simple bookmark is the perfect item to make for anyone who has ever opened a book... Again, simple construction with minimal fabric requirements.
Zokin Set
Zokins are cleaning cloths used throughout Japan. We'll show you how to use left over material or recycle clothing to construct soft absorbent cloths that you will love having around. These can be made on a machine, but we'll be sewing them by hand with sashiko!
Crochet Washcloths
Whether you are new to crochet or are an old hand at the craft... this is one item that you can be sure everyone will love to receive as much as you love making it.
Fabric Scarf
Take a small length of fabric, cut to size, and stitch a simple hemmed edge and TADAAA you have made a beautiful article of clothing that is finished in minutes!
This workshop includes a PDF handout with all pattern instructions and templates for each project.
This workshop will be recorded live and edited for re-broadcast. All students who sign up for the live event will receive access to the streaming class as soon as it is uploaded regardless if they were able to attend the live event or not.
